This school year I have planned for the boys to read more. It is certainly not their favorite thing to do and they usually can't wait for their time to be up. Everyday they are supposed to read for 1 hour. Trevor has struggled when he reads, while it is easier for Patrick. I've never really thought about the difference between them until recently.
When Trevor reads, he has trouble sounding out words phonetically. I didn't know that some kids just can't figure that out. Patrick trys and can usually sound out words. It's not too often that he aks what a word is.
I am really hoping that this year we will find the book. You know what I mean; the book that you can't seem to put down and before you know it, you have either finished it or read over half of it.
